Did you know that U MAIN has a vision of sustainable development?
Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs. This form of development is based on three pillars:
- a social aspect : since the beginning of the company, we have established partnerships with several organizations employing people with reduced mobility such as Main Forte and Out Of The Box.
Here, Pascale and Max (co-founders of U MAIN) with the warm and very efficient Carolle from Main Forte.
- an environmental component : to which we respond by avoiding the over-packaging of our products and shipping materials. We ensure that they are made as much as possible of recyclable, reusable and/or biodegradable materials. For example, the boxes of our kits are made from 100% recycled cardboard. On the other hand, we try to reduce the waste that our activities produce by reusing as many by-products in the postal packaging of our kits.
- an economic component : we aim for economic efficiency through our sales, but also by sharing our large premises with other small Montreal businesses, creating a beautiful collaborative space.
U MAIN makes it possible to democratize the manufacture of food in the face of its industrialization by offering a healthy, eco-responsible, ethical, economical and fun alternative!
