Since 2015, U MAIN has been sharing its passion and transforming thousands of cooking enthusiasts into home cheesemakers. The company was founded in Montreal by a Mexican-Quebecois couple: Max Valencia and Pascale Richard. The art of making homemade cheese is a family tradition, with recipes for Ricotta and Queso Blanco coming from Lupita, Max's mother.
When Max finally joins Pascale in Montreal they found artisanal cheeses to be expensive and they decide to start exploring the world of homemade cheese, incorporating both Lupita's recipes and those inspired by Quebec's culinary traditions.
Due to the curiosity of their friends and family about their cheese-making knowledge, they created homemade cheese-making kits to share their expertise.
