The " Cheese in surround sound - a culinary art experiment " experiment conducted in Switzerland by the Bern University of the Arts revealed a clear difference between 9 cheese wheels that had been exposed to different musical styles.

The cheeses were exposed to music for 6 months, 24 hours a day at different intensities, except one, the control cheese.

According to the study, all the cheeses that have been rocked by music have a milder taste compared to the control wheel.

After being presented to an expert jury for a blind tasting, the hip hop Emmental cheese was the favourite.

Indeed, the cheese having been exposed to hip hop showed a more pronounced smell and a more fruity taste, a delight.

Even having been exposed to music by Mozart or Led Zeppelin, the song Jazz (We've Got) ' from A Tribe Called Quest would have been the source of this taste difference.

Moreover, the cheeses exposed to lower frequencies than the others denoted a sweeter taste.
